Olympic spirit and peace the olive tree branch has achieved wide recognition. In my country the olive tree is part of our lives since Athena gave it to the Athenians and Hercules made it the symbol of Olympic achievement. For the rich nutritious and healing effects of olives and olive oil the cultivation of olive trees was wide spread throughout the ancient Mediterranean world and today has reached other countries in other continents including Japan. The humble appearance of the olive tree branch, but with a powerful personality, that carries strong universal messages combined with a promise for a reliable life support make the olive tree branch an ideal vector for the message of the Ikebana art. Therefore, I invite all of you to be inspired by these strong and rich symbols to come to the Ikebana International Fair and experience all the wonderful flower arrangements from different Ikebana schools and by shopping at the Embassies’ booths to support the people who are affected by the heavy rainfall in Saga prefecture

オリーブの木‒ Κλαδί Ελιάς（ Kladi Elias）は古代よりオリンピック精神そして平和をもたらすシンボルとされてきました。

オリーブの木は、オリンピック精神と平和の象徴として広く知られています。女神アテナに授けられ、英雄ヘラクレスがオリンピック勝者への冠を作ったとされるオリーブの木は、私の母国では生活の一部となっています。 その高い栄養価ともたらされる癒し効果により、オリーブ栽培は古代地中海世界に広まり、そして今日、日本含む諸外国へ行き渡っています。

オリーブの木は華やかではありませんが、その力強い個性、生命の支援という頼もしいメッセージを持ち合わせており、それはいけばなの理念とも相通じることでしょう。

皆様にはいけばな各流派お家元の素晴らしい作品をご覧頂き、この力強く豊かなメッセージをご体感頂きたいと思います。また各国大使館のブースの収益金は、令和元年佐賀豪雨災害被災者への義援金になります。

是非、本フェアにお運び頂きますようよろしくお願い致します。

２０１９年１２月１７日に東京支部主催のいけばなインターナショナルフェアー２０１９が開催されました。

その大使館ブースバザーでの収益金は、令和元年の佐賀県豪雨災害、そして千葉県の台風の被災者へ寄付されました。

11月例会は、国際文化会館にて、小原流研究院講師 知地正和先生によるデモンストレーションでございました。
テーマは、「秋・溶溶漾漾」です。

また、デモンストレーションの前に、テレビや世界で活躍しているＡＵＮの井上公平様による、和楽器の演奏をお楽しみいただきました。

We hope this message finds you well. We really hope that you are safe from the Typhoon No.15 which gave a serious damage in Chiba and Kanagawa prefectures.

We would like to inform you our November Monthly Meeting will be held as follows. The Ikebana demonstration will be given by Mr. Masakazu Chiji,Assistant Professor of the Council of Ohara Professors, at International House of Japan, on the theme, ‘Autumn: The water flows quietly and slowly’. You will also enjoy the Japanese traditional music performance by Mr. Kohei Inoue (AUN) who is a well-known artist through media and giving the concerts all over the world. As the seats are limited, we would like to ask your understanding that we accept 80 people (First come, first-served).

We would like to inform you our October Monthly Meeting will be held as follows. The Ikebana demonstration will be given by TFC members of different ikebana schools at Tokyo International Airport, Sky Hall (Haneda). Between the ikebana demonstrations, you will enjoy Japanese traditional music performance by Mr. Keisuke Ito (Tsugaru Shamisen) and Mr. Shingo (Japanese dram). We hope that many of you will be able to attend the Meeting.

We would like to inform you our first Monthly Meeting of this business year will be held as follows. The Ikebana demonstration will be given by Ms. Riei Ikeda, Iemoto of KORYU SHOUTOUKAI on the theme of “From Summer to Autumn〜Showing the change of the season”.　We hope that many of you will be able to attend the Meeting. We would also like to inform you that following Ikebana demonstration, there will be Angola tea time with live music and mini bazaar to make you feel as if you were in Angola thanks to Mme. Maria de Fatima Lima Xavier.

梅雨明けとともに連日の酷暑でございますが、皆様お変わりなくお過ごしのことと存じます。
今年度最初の例会は 「夏から秋へ～季節の移ろいをいける 」をテーマとした古流松藤会御家元池田理英先生のデモンストレーションでございます。 大勢の皆様のご参加をお待ち申し上げております。

なお、今回はアンゴラ大使夫人のご厚意で大使館での開催となりました。
当日デモンストレーションの後に、アンゴラのティータイムを生演奏とミニバザーでお楽しみいただきます。

Gala Lunch on June 2019

Gala lunch was held at New Ohtani Hotel on June 10th, 2019.

Iemoto of Ohara school did the ikebana demonstration.

In the presence of the Honorary President of the Ikebana International H.I.H. Princess Takamado,

including 10 spouses of ambassadors, and 8 iemotos, 429 people attended the event.

2019年6月10日、ニューオータニホテルにて、ガラランチが開催されました。

小原流御家元がデモンストレーションをされました。

いけばなインターナショナル名誉総裁高円宮妃久子殿下の御臨席を仰ぎ、

大使夫人10名、御家元8名を含む429名の方が参加しました。

Ikebana exhibition for TFC members was held at KKR Hotel Tokyo on April 16th, 2019.

Four Ikebana iemotos, eight spouses of ambassadors, 63 TFC members joined and 76 Ikebana works were exhibited.

2019年4月16日　KKRホテルにおいて、会員の花展が開催されました。

4名の御家元、８名の大使夫人、63名の会員が参加し、作品数76でした。
