June Gala Luncheon 

The donation ceremony was held on Thursday, June 2nd at Hotel New Otani, Fuyo no Ma with the presence of H.I.H. Princess Takamado, the Governor of Tokyo Metropolitan, Ms. Yuriko Koike, the spouse of the Prime Minister, Mrs. Yuko Kishida, His excellency, spouses of ambassadors and TFC members and friends.

Mrs. Maria de Fatima Xavier, the spouse of Ambassador of Angola and the Chairperson of Ikebana International Fair 2021, handed the catalog of the donation to the Governor of Tokyo Metropolitan as the donation for the Bureau of Social Welfare and Public Health Agency of Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Chairperson of NPO Japan Kodomo-Shokudo Support Center “MUSUBIE” which supports the meals for children.

Following that, Ikebana Demonstration was given by Ms. Senko Ikenobo, the Headmaster Designate of Ikenobo.  The works with the theme “Wishing Peace in the world” were full of dignity and beauty and gave us hope for tomorrow.

2022年6月2日木曜日、ホテルニューオータニ「芙蓉の間」において、いけばなインターナショナル名誉総裁高円宮妃久子殿下御臨席のもと、東京都知事小池百合子様、総理大臣夫人岸田優子様、各国大使、大使夫人のご出席を仰ぎ、寄附金贈呈式が開催されました。

「いけばなインターナショナルフェア 2021」での大使館バザーの収益金目録を、フェア委員長のアンゴラ大使夫人、マリア デ ファティマ様から、東京都福祉保健局「守ろう東京・新型コロナ対策医療支援 寄附金」として東京都知事に、子供食堂を運営している認定NPO法人 全国こども食堂支援センター・むすびえの理事長に授与されました。

その後、華道家元池坊の次期御家元、池坊専好様によるいけばなデモンストレーションが開催されました。「平和への希求」をテーマにいけられた作品は、美しさと品格に溢れ、明日への希望を抱かせました。

April Monthly Meeting

On April 20th, the Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter held the April Monthly Meeting at Densho Hall  Shibuya-ku Cultural Center Owada.

The theme was the collaboration of Ikebana and Noh play.  The Ikebana demonstration was given by Mr. Kosen Ohtsubo, Ryuseiha and the Noh was performed by Mr. Takao Yamauchi, Hoshoryu Noh actor.  After the Rikka style Ikebana demonstration, the presentation of Noh in general and Noh Music were given, then “Hajitomi (The Wicket Gate)” was performed.  It was a very exciting collaboration while learning Ikebana and Noh.

東京支部4月例会

４月20日、いけばなインターナショナル東京支部の4月例会が東京・渋谷区民文化センター大和田伝承ホールで開催されました。

「いけばなと能のコラボレーション」をテーマに、迎えたデモンストレーターはいけばなに大坪光泉氏（龍生派）、能楽に山内崇生氏（宝生流シテ方能楽師）。いけばなの立花のデモンストレーションの後、お能の解説、能楽の紹介、最後に「半蔀」の一部が披露されました。いけばなと能を楽しく学びつつ大いに盛り上がったコラボレーションとなりました。

Ikebana Exhibition by TFC Members

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan, Ikebana Exhibition by TFC Members will be held at the Embassy of Pakistan.  We hope that this will be a good opportunity to deepen the ties between Pakistan and Japan and to expand exchanges with many people through Ikebana.  At the Ikebana Exhibition, each work will be streamed on YouTube at a later date. Depending on the situation of the spread of Coronavirus infection, the Ikebana Exhibition may be held unattended.  In that case, we will inform you on our website, so please be sure to check it.

日本とパキスタン国交樹立70周年記念にあたり、『TFC会員によるいけばな展』がパキスタン大使館で開催されます。パキスタンと日本の絆を深めると共に、多くの皆様といけばなを通して交流を広げていただく良い機会となりますように願っております。花展では、それぞれの作品を後日YouTubeで配信いたします。なお、コロナ感染拡大状況によりましては、花展は無観客となります。その場合、東京支部のホームページにてお知らせしますので必ずご確認ください。皆様のお越しをお待ち申し上げております。

The Coming-of-age Ceremony 2022

TFC created and presented bouquets to 26 new adults of the Youth Welfare Center for the coming-of-age ceremony.

Despite the restricted activities due to COVID-19, we were pleased to celebrate the ‘new adults’ with bouquets for their ceremony.

社会福祉協会の成人式に26名分の花束を贈呈しました。

コロナ禍で何も出来ない中、花束で新成人の門出を祝えましたことを喜ばしく思います。

On March 28th, to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Pakistan, Sakura Tree Planting Ceremony and Ikebana Exhibition by TFC Members were held at the Embassy of Pakistan with the presence of HIH Princess Takamado.  It became a good opportunity to deepen the ties between Pakistan and Japan and to expand exchanges with many people through Ikebana exhibition by TFC members.
The Sakura planting and Ikebana exhibition will be streamed on YouTube very soon.

3月28日、日本とパキスタン国交樹立70周年記念にあたり、桜の植樹式とTFC会員によるいけばな展がパキスタン大使館で行われました。

いけばなインターナショナル名誉総裁高円宮妃久子殿下に、桜の植樹に御臨席を賜りました。この植樹により、パキスタンと日本の絆を深めると共に、多くの皆様といけばな展を通して交流を広げていただく良い機会となりました。

January Special Program

Ikebana International Tokyo Founding Chapter Special Program “The bond between India and Japan through flowers” was held at the embassy of India on Thursday, January 20th.

By the direction of Mme. Gunjan Verma, the spouse of ambassador of India, 26 sarees are shown at the fashion show with bouquets which were made by TFC members.  H.E. Ambassador of India, Mr. Sanjay Kumar Verma, Mme. Gunjan Verma, Mrs. Yuko Hayashi, the spouse of minister of foreign affairs, Junko Katano, the president of Tokyo Founding Chapter gave speeches.

We celebrated the confluence of Japanese and Indian tradition through Ikebana and Saree.

1月特別プログラム

いけばなインターナショナル東京支部の特別プログラムとして、1月20日木曜日、インド大使館において、サリーとブーケのファッションショーが開催されました。

グンジャン・ヴァルマ大使夫人の演出により、26のサリーと東京支部の有志が制作したブーケが紹介されました。サンジェイ・クマール・ヴァルマ大使閣下、グンジャン・ヴァルマ大使夫人、林裕子外務大臣夫人、支部長の片野順子が挨拶をしました。

いけばなとサリーを通して、日本とインドの伝統文化の融合を祝しました。

いけばなインターナショナルフェア2021

いけばなインターナショナルフェア2021が、12月14日火曜日、ロイヤルパークホテル（水天宮）にて開催されました。いけばなインターナショナル名誉総裁、高円宮妃久子殿下御臨席のもと、林裕子外務大臣夫人、各国大使、大使夫人、いけばな各流派御家元、TFCメンバー、一般の方々等、1500人以上のご来場がありました。

フェア委員長、アンゴラ共和国大使夫人 マリア・デ・ファティマ・シャビエール様、フェア委員110名が、新型コロナウイルス感染対策を徹底させて準備いたしました。

いけばなインターナショナルフェア2021は、文化庁令和2年度 第三次補正予算事業「ARTS for the future!」の補助事業として認められ、日本の伝統文化である　　いけばなが世界に発信されるまたとない機会であると同時に、各国大使館のブースを通して、その国の文化を知ることができる国際交流の場となりました。

オープニングセレモニーでは、御臨席いただいた高円宮妃久子殿下から、「コロナ禍の時期であればこそ、私たちがいけばなを通してつながっているという気持ちは大事です。」とのお言葉をいただきました。また、東京都知事小池百合子様からお祝いのお手紙をいただきました。

お家元によるいけばなワークショップには、大使夫人他、一般来場者が参加されました。ワークショップ会場では、小学生がいけばなを学ぶ様子を伝えるパネル展示をいたしました。

ご協力いただきました各流派の御家元の皆様、各国大使館の皆様、協賛いただきました企業様に心より御礼申し上げます。

Ikebana International Fair 2021

Honored by the presence of H.I.H. Princess Takamado, Ikebana International Fair 2021 was held at Royal Park Hotel (Suitengu) on Tuesday, December 14th. About 1500 people including Mrs. Yuko Hayashi, the spouse of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassadors and spouses of Ambassadors, Iemotos of Ikebana schools, TFC members and general guests attended.

The Chairperson of I.I. Fair 2021, the spouse of Ambassador of Angola, Mme. Maria de Fatima Xavier, and 110 committee members of the Fair have thoroughly prepared for the Fair by undertaking appropriate measures to prevent against the Covid-19 infection.

Ikebana International Fair 2021 has been authorized by Agency for Cultural Affairs as a subsidy project for the third supplementary budget project, “ARTS for the future!”. The Fair became a place for international exchange where you can learn about the culture of each country through the booths of the embassies.

Princess Takamado said, “It is important that we feel connected through Ikebana during the pandemic.” at the opening ceremony. We received a congratulatory letter from the Governor of Tokyo,
Ms. Yuriko Koike.

The Ikebana workshop was held, and the spouses of ambassadors and general visitors participated and tried Ikebana. The panels showing how elementary school students are learning Ikebana were exhibited.

November Monthly Meeting was held on Wednesday, November 17th at the Embassy of Russian Federation. Ikebana Demonstration by TFC members were divided into four groups.
1. Ms. Tatyana PROSVERNIKOVA (Embassy of Russia), Mme. Solange P. WEYA (Embassy of Cote d’Ivoire), Ms. Mieko IKEUCHI (Sogetsu School), and Ms. Kaeko KASUGA (Kadouiemoto Ikenobo)
2. Mme. Maria de Fatima Lima XAVIER (Embassy of Angola), Mr. Takahiko NODA (Ikusei-ryu), and Mr. Kazuki IGARASHI (NISSHINRYU)
3. Mme. Momoe FRITZ (Embassy of Micronesia), Ms. Takako MITOBE (Chikoryu), and Ms. Yoshie NOMURA (Ohara School）
4. Ms. Ikkei WATANABE (Senke Koryu Fuyoukai Iemoto）
The diverse Ikebana attracted the audience. We express our sincere thanks to the Embassy of Russian Federation and demonstrators.

11月例会は、11月17日水曜日、ロシア大使館で開催されました。TFC 会員によるいけばなデモンストレーションは、４つのグループにわかれて行われました。
グループ１：　タチヤーナ プロスヴェルニコワ様（ロシア連邦公使夫人）、ソランジ ウェア 様（コートジボワール共和国大使夫人）、池内 三重子 様（草月流）、春日 佳永子 様（華道家元池坊）
グループ２： 　マリア ドゥ ファティマ シャヴィエール 様（アンゴラ共和国大使夫人）、 野田 貴彦 様（郁生流）、五十嵐 一起 様（日新流）
グループ３：　モモエ フリッツ 様（ミクロネシア連邦大使夫人）、水戸部 孝子 様（知香流）、 野村 由恵 様（小原流）
グループ４：　渡部 一溪 様（千家古流芙蓉会 家元）
多様ないけばなが、観客を魅了しました。ロシア大使館ならびにデモンストレーターの皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。

On Friday October 1st, thanks to the spouse of Ambassador of Angola, Mme. Maria de Fatima Xavier, October Monthly Meeting was held at the Embassy of the republic of Angola. The Ikebana demonstration was given by Mr. Rijo Miyamoto, Iemoto Designate, Koryu Toyokai Suibokukatemae and Mr. Gaso Sawai, Iemoto Designate, Ikuseiryu on the theme of “To the Future – Challenge of the Next Generation”. Mr. Miyamoto explained Ikebana with using a projector and showing the real demonstration. Mr. Sawai demonstrated with the music of Ms. Yuki Yan. It was a great chance to know the possibility for future ikebana demonstration.

１０月１日金曜日、アンゴラ大使夫人、マリア・デ・ファティマ・シャビエール様のご厚意により、アンゴラ大使館で開催されました。「未来へ－次世代の挑戦」をテーマとしたいけばなのデモンストレーションが行われました。
古流東洋会水墨花点前 副家元 宮本理城先生は、プロジェクターを使い説明しながら、実際のいけ方を教えてくださいました。郁生流 次期家元 澤井雅総先生は、ヤンゆきさんの音楽演奏とともにいけられました。お二人のデモンストレーションは、今後のいけばなのデモンストレーションの可能性を知る良い機会となりました
